Bo Briedis has over fifteen years’ experience working in financial markets and specialises in financial communications and investor relations.
Bo’s background in corporate advisory and accounting provides her with a strong commercial focus and detailed working knowledge of equity capital markets, financial transactions and valuation which she is able to apply in a communications context.
For Symbol, Bo manages BT Investment Management’s investor and media relations.
Previously, Bo spent five years with Grant Samuel, a leading independent corporate advisory firm, where she was primarily responsible for preparing independent expert’s reports for some of Australia’s largest, most complex and high-profile corporate transactions including Wesfarmers’ $19.6b acquisition of Coles, SABMiller’s $10b acquisition of Foster’s and National Foods’ $675m acquisition of Dairy Farmers. During her time at Grant Samuel, Bo also worked across the spectrum of corporate transactions including takeovers and schemes of arrangement, mergers, takeover defences, demergers and dual track (trade sale or IPO) processes.
Her experience prior to Grant Samuel includes six years in Ernst & Young’s Transaction Advisory Services division, where she was responsible for preparing investigating accountant’s reports, managing pre-acquisition financial due diligence and vendor financial due diligence, as well as providing valuation, business modelling and assurance services.
Bo holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne, a Master of Communication from Bond University, a Diploma of Investor Relations from the Australasian Investor Relations Association and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
